April Zine Club

€10.00

What is this curious beast…? Why, of course, it’s the famous and very real Lamb of Tartary!

Join us for this April Zine Club for a medieval cryptozoology themed fun time!

We are hosted by our friends at My Goodness in their beautiful café space upstairs of the Quay Co-Op. Please note that this zine club is exceptionally on a Tuesday.

This month, we are diving into the mysterious land of cryptozoology (the study of and search for animals and especially legendary animals (such as Sasquatch) usually in order to evaluate the possibility of their existence).

Any fantastical medieval creatures you want to get up close and personal with can be approached through writing, drawing and collage this month, and catalogued in little zine research journals. Want to write an ode to the beautiful unicorn? A book of tips on how to fight a wyvern perhaps? Or to invent creatures through collage and drawing? Let your imagination run wild in this two hour workshop. As always, tickets are available through our website (and usually book fast)!

FAQ

Can I get a refund if I am not able to come to a Zine Club? Can you reallocate my ticket?

Tickets for our Zine Club are non-refundable. If you are cancelling a ticket with more than 48 hours of notice, contact us by instagram or email and we can attempt to reallocate your ticket if we have the capacity at the time. We always appreciate a notice of cancellation if you can’t make it as the events often sell out and have a waiting list.

What does the ticket cost go towards?

The Zine Clubs are fundraising events for our organisation and proceeds go towards the organisation of our yearly zine fest, as well as the workshop facilitation fee and materials..

Can I come if I am a minor/bring my child to the workshop?

We ask anyone under 18 to be accompanied by an adult at our Zine Clubs. Accompanied children are welcome but please keep in mind that the workshops are not catered towards young audiences, we frequently use sharp objects like scissors (for collage) for example. Every person coming to the club must pay for their ticket, both children and accompanying adults.

Is there a waiting list if the event sells out?

If the event sells out but you would like to be added to the waiting list, please email or message us.

Photography at events

Please note that the CZF team might take some pictures during the event. These pictures might get used for promotional use (shared through our instagram and website, sent to press partners doing an article about CZF for example) and included in funding applications. If you do not want your picture to be taken at our event, please notify us before, during or after our event, in person or by message or email.
